Mitchell County | Health Scene | Summer 2019
I n the past two years, Mitchell County Regional Health Center (MCRHC) has added 24,000 square feet of space and reno- vated nearly 17,000 square feet, with the goal of adding services, improv- ing privacy and increasing safety, according to Shelly Russell, MCRHC CEO. “Construction is complete with the entirety of our affected areas open for patients. We are excited to better serve you with a safer entry, more privacy and broader services,” Russell says. All patients should enter through the main entrance where the canopy is located. Patients will register at a newly designed central registration area for all types of clinic appoint- ments and hospital-based services, such as laboratory, physical therapy and radiology. The only exceptions are Emer- gency Department patients and those going to the Optometry Center to pick up glasses or con- tacts or have their glasses checked. These patients may enter through the Emergency Department doors facing Pine Street on the North side of the building. JOIN THE CELEBRATION!
